Global UX Revamp for Top Tier K-Fashion
The Challenge
Despite organic viral success on TikTok among Western audiences, the brand was losing almost all their international traffic at checkout. The original Korean website relied on difficult translation plugins, lacked local currency display, and forced international users through a confusing, domestic-centric shipping and payment portal (requiring Korean ID verification).
The Solution
We separated their global operations onto a dedicated Shopify Advanced architecture. We integrated specialized localization tools native to Shopify, automatically detecting user locations to display correct currencies and local payment methods (e.g., Apple Pay, Klarna, local credit cards). We removed over 6 redundant steps from the checkout process. A major visual refresh was also conducted, adapting the typography and image layouts to meet the expectations of modern global streetwear consumers.
The Results
The frictionless localized checkout resulted in an immediate 2.1X increase in the global conversion rate. During their subsequent collection drop, global sales skyrocketed by 310% compared to previous drops. The streamlined UX reduced bounce rates by 28% and customer service complaints regarding international shipping dropped to zero.
